Avocado & banana smoothie

Avocado smoothie recipe

Have you ever added avocado to your smoothie? Avocados contain healthy fats and fibre. Fibre helps you feel fuller for longer, so it’s great for breakfast, or for an afternoon snack, and the healthy fats help the body to absorb vitamins A, D & E.

Serves: 2

    • 120g frozen pineapple
    • ½ an avocado
    • 1 frozen banana
    • 1 tbsp lime juice
    • 1 tsp maple syrup
    • 50ml apple juice

Simply blitz all the ingredients together in a blender, if the mixture isn’t blending, add some more apple juice. Add to your Citron travel mug to keep your breakfast or afternoon snack cold for 12 hours, and enjoy on the go.

Mint iced-tea

Healthy Iced-tea recipe

Not every child loves to drink water, but staying hydrated is crucial, especially in the heat. Dehydration can lead to fatigue and dizziness. Iced-tea is a lovely refreshing drink loved by kids and adults, perfect for the sunny weather.

Serves: 3

    • 3 mint tea bags

    • 2 tbsp honey or agave
    • 1 lemon, juiced
    • 1 orange juiced and sliced
    • Fresh mint leaves

  1. Add your tea bags and honey into a jug and fill with 750ml of boiling water.
  2. Leave the tea bags to infuse for around 10 minutes, and then remove.
  3. Leave your mixture to cool until it is cold.
  4. Squeeze in half of your lemon juice, and slice the other half and add to your drink.
  5. Squeeze in half of your orange juice, and slice the other half and add to your drink.
  6. Add your mint leaves and give it a good stir.
  7. Add ice to your Citron water bottle, add your tea and enjoy!
  8. Citron water bottles will keep your iced-tea cool for up to 24 hours.

Blueberry smoothie

    • 1 small banana
    • 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt
    • 125ml apple juice
