Avocado & banana smoothie

Avocado smoothie recipe

Have you ever added avocado to your smoothie? Avocados contain healthy fats and fibre. Fibre helps you feel fuller for longer, so it’s great for breakfast, or for an afternoon snack, and the healthy fats help the body to absorb vitamins A, D & E.

Serves: 2

Ingredients

    • 120g frozen pineapple
    • ½ an avocado
    • 1 frozen banana
    • 1 tbsp lime juice
    • 1 tsp maple syrup
    • 50ml apple juice

Simply blitz all the ingredients together in a blender, if the mixture isn’t blending, add some more apple juice. Add to your Citron travel mug to keep your breakfast or afternoon snack cold for 12 hours, and enjoy on the go.

Mint iced-tea

    • 3 mint tea bags

    • 2 tbsp honey or agave
    • 1 lemon, juiced

  2. Leave the tea bags to infuse for around 10 minutes, and then remove.
  3. Leave your mixture to cool until it is cold.
  4. Squeeze in half of your lemon juice, and slice the other half and add to your drink.
