The Tritan Range
First off, let’s start with our tritan range. Tritan is the safest plastic in the world as it is BPA free. BPA is a chemical compound primarily used when making a number of plastics which can be used for food storage and in water bottles. BPA is an industrial chemical that has been used to create various types of plastic and resins commercially since the 1950’s. Over time, if we continually use products that have BPA in the packaging, it can result in the chemical compound being absorbed or ingested into our bodies, which could result in adverse health effects. The material tritan is also very durable, meaning that our lunch boxes are shatter proof and will last, phew you won’t have to buy a new one for a very long time.
Tritan Lunch Box
Our first tritan lunch box is the smallest out of the two and comes with 4 different compartments, allowing you to separate your child's food. Whether they are a little fussy about their foods touching, or if you want to add a mixture of sweet and savoury, the compartments come in very handy! It also means you won’t have to wrap each food up or add the food into multiple boxes which often go missing at school. Included in our lunch boxes is a small sauce container, where you can add hummus for their carrot sticks, or ketchup for their cocktail sausages - the choices are endless.
So what patterns or colours does our smallest tritan lunch box come in? Well you will be overjoyed that you have 9 different ones to choose from! If you have multiple children it’s often useful to have different patterns or colours for each child so they know which one is who’s. All the different colours and patterns also match our other essentials like our backpacks, water bottles and snack boxes so your child will be kitted with a matching set!

The Grand Lunch Box
The second lunch box is our largest one and can also be used for adults! Like the smaller lunch box, it comes with 4 larger separate compartments and a sauce container as well as a small food jar. As the colder weather is rolling in, your children might like to enjoy some warming pasta or soup for their lunch, which normally isn’t possible with your average lunch box. As our grand lunch box comes with our small insulated food jar, the food will stay warm for up to 6 hours, we believe it’s a game changer!
One question we get asked a lot is are they easy to clean? The answer to that is yes. As our lunch boxes are made from tritan, it means that no odour or colour sticks to the lunch box, which means you can add stronger smelling foods without it lingering for days to come. No one wants strawberries that taste like eggs… The grand lunch boxes also come with a removable silicone lining, making it easy to clean in all the nooks and crannies. P.S. make sure you put the silicone lining back into the lunch box, as this seal prevents anything from leaking from your lunch box!

The Bento Box Range
Last, but not least we have our bento boxes. Bento boxes originate from Japan and are designed to hold a single serving of rice as well as several side dishes. However, you can be as creative as you like and add anything you want to the box. If you need some inspiration, here are some delicious lunch box recipes you can make this school year.
Like your average lunch box that is just one large space to cram all your food into, it can sometimes be hard to gauge how much food is too much or too little when it comes to packing your kids lunch. Neither adding too much food or too little food is good for the body, so it’s good to have different compartments that you can fill as a guideline.
Our bento boxes are our cheapest lunch box and come in three different colours, so they are great for anyone on a budget, but that doesn’t mean we have compromised on quality. With three individually sealed compartments, you can enjoy a variety or different food separately in one space. Like our other lunch boxes, it is also BPA free, leakproof and you can actually microwave and put our bento boxes in the dishwasher (without the lid) unlike our other ones.

Thermal Stainless Steel Range
Although these might not be lunch boxes, we thought we would add our food jars to the list! At Citron we have two different sized food jars, a 250ml food jar which comes with our grand lunch box, or can be bought separately, as well as our large food jar which is 400ml. Both our food jars are made from stainless steel, which is very eco-friendly as it's 100% recyclable.
Both our food jars are exactly the same, the only difference is their size. Our small food jars can fit 250ml of food in, which makes them perfect for breakfast or for smaller portions of food. We love to add overnight oats into our small food jars or a granola bowl that can be eaten on the way to school, or portions of fruit for a snack. Our large food jars are one of our most popular products as they keep your food warm for up to 6 hours, or cold for up to 7 hours, which is perfect for a tasty lunch time meal.
